About Me
My name is Graysen Stratton. I have been making art for as long as I can remember, but I started photography only a few years ago. My work is mostly taken on a 35-millimeter camera or a medium-format camera. I am experienced in the darkroom with processing and developing film. I also know how to develop and print my film onto paper. I learned everything that I currently know about photography through photography classes at school and from constantly photographing.
I have photographed a variety of subjects, and I do a lot of documentary photography in my free time. My most recent photography project though is portraiture. I enjoy experimenting with subjects, locations, cameras, and anything that could make photographs better. I enjoy photography because it allows me to capture moments and feelings in a unique way. Once you figure out the camera, the hardest part is deciding what you want to say and how you want to share it in a photo. There are so many different styles of photography, and I love that I have had the chance to explore so many of them.
My creative process for projects requires a bit of planning before I make sure that I am fully set up to shoot. When I am shooting for a project, I need to have planned out outfits, locations, poses, etc. to make sure that my photos reach their best potential. But when I am shooting daily, I tend to just capture what inspires me.
